Malayalee Student with a new Application called BayJDO as an Alternative to Xender and Shareit|Tech Support|

As we all know  the famous file sharing apps like ShareIt, Xender are now been banned in India, due to its Chinese origins. So that everyone is now searching for a better alternative to using such services. Daily or occasionally everybody is using such apps for sharing files, media, etc. Here comes a better option from a Malayalee student from Amritha School Of Engineering. His name is Aswin Shenoy and he is a second-year Computer Science student there.

Xender and ShareIt are both known to have high transfer speeds but they possess some privacy issues also. Both the apps work only with so many permissions. Even we always press allow without reading anything. Before we allow any permission to apps we must think twice. Sometime it may lead to severe hacking attacks also.

Let's keep the above cons beside and we can now talk about BayJDO. The BayJdo application launched with an excellent caption, i.e “ Sabko Bayjdo, bilkul India hai “.
Aswin's application is entirely different from all. BayJDO is a simple, fast, and secure web application that allows users to transfer files directly between devices, without requiring users to install the app.

Now let us take look at how to use BayJDO

This web application requires only one thing - the devices must be on the same network. Once both devices reach the same network (or hotspot).  Then they can go to Bayjdo.com or use the installed Progressive Web app.  Then both devices get an ID and a QR code.  Once someone has scanned and connected the QR code to another, they can then forward the file.  The user can select files from his device and send encrypted files to each other easily and quickly.

BayJDOo is a Progressive Web Application (PWA) that can run offline on devices, home screens, and without the need for an external application.  So we can install it in just a few seconds within the browser without needing an app store. As it is open-source, there is no need for app installation and granting permissions to access our files. It also doesn't require any type of login, registration, and no ads and no snooping. This application is still in beta mode and may sometimes cause some glitches and bugs. That is because this app is still in its developing stage. For getting latest updates regarding this app just follow Aswin's twitter id (@aswinshenoy_)

From the source, we also get a clear idea about how privacy is ensured in this app. i.e
all files being transmitted get encrypted by WebRTC standards, no one except the two devices would be able to read them. For further clarification, no files are ever sent to any server, and the file is always transferred directly (P2P) from one device to another through an encrypted WebRTC/WS channel. Finally, let us appreciate his efforts to bring this web application into existence...It is a must needed application that we use daily...while using those banned apps earlier we can't think a day without it. After banning those apps there were other alternative apps also we can find out in the play store...But those require app installations and permission. Hope in the future we get more features and services from this app.
