Oneplus is all set to launch the Oneplus Nord on July 21 through the world's first AR smartphone launch. This will be the companies re-entry into the midrange segment after launching the Oneplus X back in October 2015.
Oneplus has been putting out flagship killer one after the other since the Oneplus One was launched in 2014. The company first entered into the mid-range segment by launching the Oneplus X in 2015. The company has been improving its products with each iteration but it reached a whole new level with the launch of the first flagship phone Oneplus 7 pro in 2019. The smartphone not only outperformed all its predecessors but changed the whole smartphone industry into a new level and is the best selling phone in the Indian market right now. With the launch of the Oneplus 8 pro, the company set a new benchmark in the smartphone world again.
Now Oneplus is set to come back to the affordable phone segment with the launch of the Oneplus Nord. The phone will come with a "flagship camera" that will include Optical Image Stabilization. The company has also revealed the retail box of the phone through their Instagram account.
Oneplus Nord Design
Oneplus has not made many announcements regarding the Onplues Nord. But the phone was leaked through a video recently released by Oneplus. The video showed that the phone has dual cameras in the front housed by a cutout in the display and multiple cameras in the rear.
The phone has no Fingerprint sensor in the front or the rear, which leads us to believe us that it will have an in-display fingerprint sensor under the 6.55-inch Optical AMOLED Display.
Specs and Features
The phone is rumored to be having a 6.55-inch 90Hz Amolded Display with an In-Display Finger Print scanner, 64MP + 16MP +2MP rear camera assembly, a 4,300mAh battery with 30W Rapid charging, Snapdragon 765G SOC, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. If this ends to be true Oneplus Nord will be a phone to watch out.
Pricing
The pricing is expected to be under $500 and will be available in India through Amazon Online and Oneplus stores. The phone is available for pre-order from Amazon from July 15 for ₹499 and users will get a gift box containing Oneplus merchandise. Those who purchase the Nord before August 31st will receive a second gift box contacting the Oneplus Bullets Wireless v1 and a phone cover.
Launch
To experience the launch of the Nord, download the Oneplus Nord AR from the Play Store. Install and launch the app to complete the avatar setup. On launch day, i.e on July 21 at 7:30 PM IST, launch the app and follow the on-screen instructions to start the AR experience.
